Luke
(20) is a thoughtful and brave young man, with strong self-esteem and resilience, the result of a loving childhood. Raised by a wealthy adoptive family, he enters a deep crisis upon discovering his adoption and reuniting with his biological father, leading him to flee to City of God. There, he meets Magdalene, who becomes his spiritual guide and inspires him to follow the teachings of Jesus. He returns to New Home to save Thomas as an act of love and sacrifice. Rebuilding his life with newfound maturity, he reconciles with friends and strengthens his bond with Claudia, with whom he shares both faith and the dream of a better world. His leadership grows, making him a guiding figure for those around him and a vital support for his biological father, with whom he will found a new community.
Claudia
(20) is elegant, reserved, and passionate about art. Intelligent, conciliatory, and loyal, she was raised with love, but after her father's death she faces financial hardship. She takes refuge in the Christian faith — forbidden in her city — and finds spiritual guidance in Isaiah. Her bond with Luke deepens when they discover their shared faith, beginning a romantic and spiritual relationship that unites them in their vision and desire to create a better world.
Augustus
(22) is attractive, ambitious, and extroverted. Raised in a family focused on status and power, he seeks recognition and influence. Though he values Luke, he sees him as a rival and becomes obsessed with Claudia, whom he views as a prize. Rejected by her, he reacts with jealousy and violence, but later redirects his ambition. He joins the Security Directorate, where his participation in repressive decisions earns him favor with his superiors, feeding his pride and sense of power.
Magdalene
(21) is cheerful and empathetic, born and raised in City of God with Christian values. Strong and intelligent, she has a playful and gossip-loving side but a good heart. Married to Thomas, she builds a solid family with him. The arrival of Lucas, her childhood friend, stirs deep emotions. Magdalene becomes his spiritual guide and is key to his conversion. When Luke must remain in New Home to save Thomas, she faces a great inner conflict and temporarily separates from her husband — an uncommon decision in her community. They eventually reconcile when they learn that Luke is alive and well.
Isaiah
(50) is strong, wise, and deeply spiritual. After losing his wife and working with waste, he embraced his labor as a divine calling, becoming the moral guide of the outcasts. A doctor by training and a preacher by vocation, he loves his son Luke profoundly, seeing him as part of God's plan. His reunion with Luke and his bond with Julia revitalize him. He embodies faith and hope in the vision of a better society.
Thomas
(23) is of medium height, well-built, and fair-skinned. Cheerful, outgoing, and kind-hearted, he is hardworking, loyal, and devoted to his wife. He values Magdalene as the foundation of their family and affectionately accepts Luke as both brother-in-law and friend. Having lost his father in an accident, he was lovingly raised by his aunt after his mother disappeared on a religious mission. When Luke reveals that his mother is alive in New Home, he feels compelled to rescue her — an impulsive decision that drives Luke to return to the city and propels the story forward.
Hannibal
(55) is a strong, tall man with a military bearing. Intelligent, commanding, and an excellent listener and strategist, he is respected and admired by his subordinates in New Home's army. The son of a worker who helped build the city, he inherited his position and rose to the rank of officer. He met Elizabeth (Thomas's mother) when capturing her, and over time fell in love with and married her. Although he does not share her faith, he deeply respects it. After meeting Luke and witnessing the sacrifice he is willing to make, Hannibal decides to save Thomas and abandon the city. Welcomed in City of God, he values — though does not fully understand — its ethical principles. He becomes a bridge between both worlds, transporting Bibles and supplies through a secret tunnel.
